Also you might want to get him off wheat/corn. But in addition, there's a nutritional combo, quercetin/bromelain, which is fantastic for allergies and he can take it every day without the side effects of being on a medication. I get mine from Swansons, or used to when I had allergies and had a dog with allergies. The dose is fairly high, with that brand its 6 capsules for people, I'd try half that on a dog.
