Richard many years ago I had a similar problem with one of my dogs and it turned out to be an abses on a back tooth, the poison was getting into his stomach and got him pretty sick, once the tooth was pulled and he was given some anti-biotic he was back to his old self in no time. Just a thought. Will say a prayer for all of you.
