Next time at a CG walk around and look what all is in the fire pits. From molten piles of plastic to melted twisted metals of all kinds.
THEN you will know why they stink like chemicals burn your eyes and throat and just sit and smolder.
Sadly some campers are just irresponsible or just don't know any better.
