I grew up around a campfire, in a house that burned wood for heat and had parents that both smoked. I have also been to the race track a few times when the brain surgeon a few sites over is burning the left over treated lumber from building his deck. The fire doesn't bother me...it's the smoke that I can't stand. The DW is also allergic to smoke. What we have learned is this. We try to get a site near the big Class A's, as they are less likely to have campfires. This doesn't mean that I won't drop by your hot, minimally smoking fire for a beverage!
