Last summer we were in a nice little CG near Fort QuAppelle Saskatchewan. Wonderful group of people right across from us, one came over and said they are having a social event tonight, we may hear some sounds. I smiled and said Have Fun!! He then invited us to come over and join them if we want. So nice.
A little later out came a guitar, and other instruments. On came the music and everyone was having a good time around the campfire.
Nice to hear and see that happening. We didn't join them but sat under the awning in our chairs enjoying the festivities. Everyone was polite, not rowdy and at a reasonable time they packed it up and respected quiet time.
I love stuff like that.
That's camping heaven for me. Seems contagious to see other campers having fun and will find yourself smiling from within -- even from watching and listening from afar.
Other, seemingly a paradox, camping in the total peace, solitude and silence -- like winter in Yosemite.
