Dixie Flyer,
Our Standard Poodle can identify with Suzie and the bed zippers. When he was a youngster, any bed we gave him with a zipper underwent what I started to refer to as a zipper-ectomy the first chance he got. I finally decided no beds with zippers! I made him a bed that I can take apart and wash, but I do have to slip stitch the end back together each time it gets laundered. He has never torn it. He just turned 4 and he may be well past it and not bother a zipper at all, but I haven't decided to test that yet!
