The legend is that in the past, a ship came into Zihuatanejo Bay and hit the eslabones, the links. The wood ended up on one beach, hence Playa la Madera, and the clothing washed up on Playa la Ropa. So the story goes.
We also have two other beaches in our bay, Playa Principal, the main beach, and Playa las Gatas, named for a whiskered shark.
Unfortunately, none of our beaches are "sin ropa." Sigh
