As usual, 4runnerguy is right on the money.
I lived in Estes Park 8 years and love it. However, the town really suffered in this disaster this summer - downtown has come back but the damage at Rocky Mtn NP and the roads into Estes will take a long time to come back. The roads coming in are mostly "temporary" and questionable for RV traffic per the locals. The only undamaged road by this disaster is Hwy 34 from the west thru the Park - Trail Ridge Road and that is certainly questionable for RV traffic; I do not recommend it for most unless a small rig with experienced mountain driver. We have come to love the SW part of the state and have gone there often.
