This comes up year after year and annually starts the battle going. A forum is not the place to get info to decide whether you should put the incorrect fuel in your expensive vehicle. That would be the engineering department of the manufacturer of that very specific engine - not your local mechanic - and not a dealer - and certainly not an internet forum where more misinformation can be found than accurate information.
Diesel pusher owners and owners of other large diesel engines please note this discussion only applies to pick-ups according to what the author writes.
Anyone who expects one of today's highly technical mechanical devices to continue to operate correctly when treated incorrectly is playing Russian Roulette. Talk to the real authorities on this subject before you risk a huge repair bill and possible voiding of any warranty you might have.
