Some of the roads are newly repaired but there can be miles of gravel/construction. The worst section was in the Yukon between Watson Lake and Beaver Creek and it was worse on our return. They completely remove the road bed to repair the roads and they dump calcium carbonate on the road to keep the dust down and harden the surface and it will stick to your RV like glue. We also ran into the same sort of construction on the Parks Highway north of Denali and on Summit Mountain in BC. That was 7 miles up and down of 8% grade behind a pilot truck on gravel. Many RVs passed us like we were standing still when we were going through bad stretches of road. We we were very conservative going through these sections. Again, this is our perception/experience.
