Spouse had a blast fishing in Homer. He did do a charter but halibut regulations changed this year and one of the halibut has to be less than 29 inches. Only 1 person on his charter caught 2 keep able fish. Spouse did most of his fishing in the lagoon on Homer Spit. When the tide comes in, so do the salmon and the combat fishing begins. He fished there every day. We really did not worry about expenses but there are those who must keep an eye on the budget. We did use the TourSaver Book and recouped the cost with just one tour. You have to decide what is important to you on a trip like this and enjoy. Nothing we saw or experienced would deter us from going again.
