We were unlucky to get damage to our truck and 5th wheel. We were less than 30 miles from Dawson Creek heading north. We were on good road and we were passed by a truck carrying big uncovered rock and we were hit. It put a dent in the hood of the truck, broke the windshield, and put a dent in the front cap of the 5th wheel (just one big rock). We were hit again on the way back with another ding to the windshield. Our windshield will have to be replaced and the other stuff repaired but insurance will cover and it is all minor. We did not meet anyone else though who had this type of damage.
We did wash our truck/5th wheel 4 times to/from Alaska and as soon as we crossed back into the lower 48. There are campgrounds with wash stations along the way. The chemical they dump on the road during construction sticks like glue and our unit was so filthy that we could not even see out our rear window.
