OK,you guys have had a two-year break - but it's all over. I left Artum Snowbird in charge of the central part \of the island and Orion looking after Comanche Nation interests in the Victoria area. I trust they have collected tribute and have it waiting for my return.So, back to Salmon Point, surprise early morning raid to take place about 1pm on Thursday, June 25th.Oh, and what about that part of the island north of Campbell River?Well, since only three people live there, I've decided to leave them to their own devices.GM

I can confirm that so far I have collected three small shells and a long(ish) piece of almost new twine, but I hope to increase this tribute by the time you arrive!

Orion - After our six weeks in the Campbell River area we will be in your neighbourhood (Note correct spelling) for a few days prior to taking the ferry from Sidney back to Anacortes. Plan to make reservations at Oceanside. Maybe we can get together while we are there. My British Bride would love to have a conversation with one who speaks the Mother Tongue. She considers these colonials to be a bit barbaric.GM

So that should be early August? Certainly if we are not away, I'd love to get together again. That is pretty well straight across the Peninsula from us. Look forward to it.

Will be cruising out of Vancouver in. May 2015 for 10 days, any thoughts on where to store a 26ft Motorhome for this period.CheersChris

It's bad enough that you raid my favorite fishing spot but then you settle into the village area where I lived for 36 years to count your spoils and trinkets before you cross the pond back to your own hunting grounds.

Salmon Point has been so lovely and quiet the last 2 years. There goes the neighborhood! Again! :S

You do not want to come here for the next 6 months.Salmon point just happens to be a favorite place of ours when on the rock.Keep going north of there it just gets better and better.

Are you renting the RV? If so talk nicely to the rental company depot in Vancouver, they may let you leave it there, I have done this in Calgary.
Be sure to tell them that you will not be staying in it, also beware that they will not accept responsibility for your contents.
