Plan is to leave Temecula for Pismo either Tuesday or Wednesday. We always seem to hit very slow traffic on 210 between the general area of Monrovia & Pasadena. Anybody know when traffic is likely to be the lightest thru that area? Thanks in advance.

I find the best times to travel on any of the freeways around LA is to try and hit the area after 9AM and before 11AM Or around 1PM to 2:30PM at the latest.Or early in the morning...between 5AM and 6:30AM

You probably already know this, but the signage for the west 210 in Pasadena is very poor -- the transition comes up on your right very soon after the first sign for that road. I always have to remind myself to watch for that problem.

I always advise RV'ers to take commuter traffic into account in So Cal, but this stretch always catches us. So right about how poor the signage is. And my wife would have a fit if I even suggested driving at 2am. Will add that about a decade ago we were in stop & go traffic there when a landscaping truck took acception with our presence. Just as the traffic jam broke, the driver smacked our passenger side mirror with a pipe, knocking the mirror completely out its housing, Needless to say, giving chase was put of the question. Fortunately, my wife managed to get it back in place enough for me to exit and do a quick repair.

Traffic can be heavy about any time, but 9:30 - 10:00 shouldn't be too bad.Like others have said, there is a funny transition on the 210, you basically have to get off to continue on it. About Lake Street be sure you are in the right most lane and you shouldn't have a problem.
