Sorry, I like to play with the numbers and taking a ratio is about the simplest type of "number play."
I can really appreciate the "Don't Ask, Don't Know" point of view but there are forum questions about costs.

We were surprised at the good 3.4 miles per dollar achieved mostly by slowing down. This was in spite of an average diesel pump price of $4.40 (US) per gallon (sorry again, another ratio).
