I have logged over 100k miles in class a motorhomes. Currently have a 40ft dynasty diesel pulling a full size Chevy truck. We (me, wife, and 2 sons, 8 and 14) are leaving June 6th from Panama City...

Diesel pusher.......should take on any mountain we have out here. Just obey the SIGNS....if a sign says don't drive anything longer than xx feet, do NOT drive it! :) yes, people do ignore those signs and then get into trouble. Seriously, a diesel pusher should be able to take on any mountain you'll find. As another said, take it slow and easy. :) Have an awesome time....the memories you make with the kids will stay with them for a lifetime. (I know this because my parents took us to Yellowstone and on to Georgia when I was a kid. :) )
