395 north
Ive been to yellowstone 20+ times over the last 40 years.always took I15 from so. Cal. Im gettin tired of the same old route. Anybody try 395 to ID. Then over to ID. Falls? Is it worth the difference ...

Ahhh.. I'm a little confused by your statement/question. 395 doesn't hit Idaho until way north of "going over to ID Falls". Are you thinking of taking 395 to Oregon's Hwy 20 and then over to Idaho?
In any case, north of Reno, 395 is mostly high desert and not all that attractive and IMO, quite boring. However, 395 on the easter Sierra's is indeed probably in the top 10 of beautiful drives.
