50, 80, or 88 to South Lake Tahoe?

Actually yes even from Truckee you need to get over to 50.

Eventually the only highway to South Lake Tahoe is 50. The sooner you get on 50 the better.

It all depends on where you are starting from.You did not say that.

Try to time it Monday - Thursday. It's a popular route and the weekenders are always in a hurry and a lot more traffic.

50, it is the most direct route to South Lake Tahoe.
