- I can remember driving I90 east bound through Wallace, ID. in the late 80's. Well it wasn't an interstate yet, it was a bit like the Twilight Zone, and going back about 60 years to the 20's. the detour was right through downtown Wallace! They actually had a stoplight in town.
- And this one is in Maryland for the trip back to Sacramento. I bet 50 would be a much better drive across the US than an Interstate. I've only done it from Sacramento to Utah.
- This sign is at the start of Highway 50 in Sacramento. But 50 is not an Interstate all the way across.

If you like your interstate, you can keep your interstate. I seem to have heard that before.

West Coast to East coast 4 interstates
Midwest to East coast 1 interstate
North to South 2 interstates
