Most cold winds come out of the north west, that sir is Alaska. It just passes through Canada on its way down.

We don’t even charge taxes or duty on it in transit through Canada, as long as it’s not carrying any firearms, raw chicken, or fresh fruit or vegetables. Hehehe.
