I'll just echo what others have said - balance a few days of hard driving with a day or two off the road. It's better for your kids and it's better for YOU! Kids need time to just be kids - swim in the pool, play in the game room or just hang out in the CG. If you want to keep a happy demeanor you need to get out from behind the wheel.
We've done three "voyages" of 32+ days across the US, and many, many shorter ones over the course of two decades. Our kids are 18 & 21 now and I wouldn't trade those times for anything. PM me if you'd like any more perspectives.
