2Gypsies had a great idea about tearing out pages from old atlas of states. Much more detailed than US map.

The atlas from Walmart is great just to have. It lists all the Walmarts and tells which ones have the Murphy oil gas there.

6 weeks will be plenty of time for a great trip! You can pack a lot of fun AND leisure in that amount of time.

My boys are 34 and 37 and they still bring up memories of our road trips from when they were little and we never had over 10-12 days.

Go west young man! Enjoy!
