Ken, I'm going to respond to your post soon, but quickly, were you implying that Glen Canyon may not be worth it (or necessary)? If so, it would clean up the driving route quite a bit. It would eliminate an entire north/south run and about 400 miles.

In fact, I've talked myself out of it...unless someone has reason to say it is a must see?
