This was the itinerary as I left it back in January. Since then, the following adjustments are being considered.
13. One night at Mesa Verde and 2 at Durango.
14. The 4 nights in Ourey are reserved at Ridgeway State Park. We're meeting up with an old friend who is a serious Jeeper and lives in the area. So we'll have some experience with us on the trails.
18. Eliminating Pikes Peak and having that extra night for at the Black Canyon.
19. Make St. Louis only one night and spend only enough time to go up in the arch. Saves another night for out west.
We've got one night between GC and Zion that I don't have reservations for. Thinking we may just go into Page for the night and use that as a housekeeping night.
Our reservations at Arches are in Devil's Garden for 3 nights. I was thinking that was a good base for also seeing Canyonlands, but now that I look at it, it is an hour away? Maybe we should adjust to 2 nights in Arches and then move camp to Dead Horse for Canyonlands? Any thoughts?
