Looks like fun!
When we drove to Florida from California, we gave our kids a treat bag each time we crossed a state line....but they had to tell us some facts about the state first. The treats were random...some were DVDs (like the Princess and the Frog for Louisiana or Davy Crockett for Texas), little games, gum, etc...it was a lot of fun to plan. And, my daughter did quite well on her state test that year. :) The kids love our long trips because it is the only time they get unlimited tv/video games (well, while driving). My kids also love the NP visitor centers, ranger programs and other various museums we visit while on the road.
Oh, I also changed careers to be a teacher. :) I love my job.
