Here's the itinerary with a bit more detail than shown before. I'll take it day by day this time.
Day 1: [545m] Leave SC and head west stopping around Memphis, TN (might do truck stop or Walmart)
Day 2: [577m] Leave Memphis and stop around Elk City, Ok (might do truck stop or Walmart)
Day 3: [532m] Elk City, OK to El Malpais, NM (don't have reservations)
Day 4: [272m] Few hours in morning at El Malpais, NM? ; Stop at Petrified Forest; Take photo in Winslow, Az; Stop at Bonito National Forest (no reservations accepted)
Day 5: [0m] Tour Sunset Crater and Walnut Canyon (no reservation)
Day 6 [90m] Leave via loop through Painted Desert; Arrive at Grand Canyon mid-day. (Reservations at Trailer Village)
Day 7 [0m] At GC, moderate hiking and sunrise/sunset.
Day 8 [0m] At GC, moderate hiking and sunrise/sunset. May take a day to hike all the way to the river…not sure.
Day 9 [0m] At GC, moderate hiking and sunrise/sunset. May do a half day rafting trip.
Day 10 [?m] Leave GC heading to Zion, but have one night in between. Don't know where or what to do with this night?
Day 11 [?m] Arrive at Zion (reservations at The Watchman)
Day 12 [0m] At Zion, moderate hiking, The Narrows
Day 13 [0m] At Zion, moderate hiking, Angel’s Landing as far as our courage will take us.
Day 14 [0m] At Zion, moderate hiking
Day 15 [0m] At Zion, moderate hiking
Day 16 [84m] Leave Zion to Bryce Canyon (reservations at North campground)
Day 17 [0m] At Bryce Canyon, moderate hiking, Navajo Tunnel Trail in the Hoodoos.
Day 18 [119m] Leave Bryce Canyon to Capitol Reef before lunch(first come at Fruita campground)
Day 19 [159m] Ranger tour to Fiery Furnace (need reservation). Leave Capitol Reef to Arches (reservation at Devil's Garden)
Day 20 [0m] At Arches, offroading , anything rated a 3 or less. Chicken Corners, Lower Kane Creek, Secret Spider.
Day 21 [0m] At Arches, day trip to Canyonlands.
Day 22 [130m] Arches to Mesa Verde, quick stop at Canyons of the Ancients? (reservation at Morefield campground)
Day 23 [0m] At Mesa Verde, Pancakes at Village, Tour Cliff Palace (reservations)
Day 24 [47m] Mesa Verde to Durango (reservations at Junction Creek Campground), see Strader Hotel, Dinner at Bar D Chuckwagon (reservation needed)
Day 25 [0m] At Durango, Silverton/Durango train ride. May have to choose between this and rafting the Grand Canyon for budget.
Day 26 [91m] Leave Durango to Ridgway (reservations at Ridgway State Park)
Day 27 [0m] At Ridgway, meeting with local friends that are avid Jeepers. Will do several days of offroading with them. Ophir Pass today.
Day 28 [0m] At Ridgway, The Last Dollar Road to Telluride, walk main street and ride free gondola to Mtn. Village. Back to camp and out to Ourey for 4th of July festival.
Day 29 [0m] At Ridgway, The Alpine loop!
Day 30 [0m] Leave Ridgway
Days 31-42 open still. Need 3 days to get back east, leaving 8 days to use in Colorado. Maybe 3-4 around Colorado Springs (Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods) and 3-4 at Estes Park for hiking.
