Lauren said "The hike from Bear, Nymph, Dream to Emerald is not real long but is wonderful."

Did this hike last summer and would highly recommend it. 9500-10200 feet and yes, the thin air at this elevation does make a difference.

If you are taking 50 from Montrose to the east you could just spend an hour or two at the black canyon. It is not far from the highway.
