Abbotsford border crossing

Hey, I'm heading to Washington this summer and will cross at the Abbotsford/Sumas border crossing. Its been a few years since I was at this crossing and I've never done it with a rv. I'm just wondering what I should expect as far as wait times go so I can try and plan how long the whole drive will take. I'll be crossing on a Sunday and coming from Merritt. Also, are there RV specific lanes or does it really matter? Thanks!
  • It’s a busy crossing. I’ve seen it backed up to hwy 1 on summer weekends. Early morning or evening is best for wait. Know your trailer plate number, itinerary, sunglasses off, there is only one rv lane on the right next to the duty free.

Google map it, you see it only has 6 gates, rush hours it can be a long wait. but it will almost always be shorter than the I-5 corridor. bus and RV lanes are well marked.

OBTW, the RV lanes are on the right when coming south.
