across Washington on the 20?
Hello all, has anyone traveled from Concrete, Washington to Idaho on the 20? I will be traveling with a 40ft 5th wheel June 7th. I am going to work on the route tonight. The other option is the 90.

- WA 20 is a good two lane highway across the Cascades. It is narrow and steep in some areas. Great scenery.
Option two would be US 2 east from Everett, before I-90. Two lane road with great scenery. - "On the 20"? Up here it's still "highway 20".
- Highway 20 is great.
- We did it a few times with our 40' MH. No issues for us.
- Watch out for snow :)
The avalanche crew recreated the path they made to Washington Pass last month. by Washington State Dept of Transportation, on Flickr - Give the guy a break, it's June and full summer mode here in the north west. The worst hazards will be tourists and construction zones.
- That photo was taken at least two months ago.
- Per Mountain Directory West there are 6 caution areas on Hwy 20 from ID to I-5. Most 5% to 6% grades, with one 8%. I have only driven between I-5 and Winthrop (Washington and Rainy Pass area). Definitely doable, just slow and steady.
I-90 only has 2 caution areas (Vantage Hill and Snoqualmie Pass) with 3% to 6% grades. I have drive I-90 from I-5 to ID towing our 40' 5er and there no problems...just the scenery is nowhere as nice as Hwy 20. - Thank you all for the replies.
