In the following statement you infer people are stupid and can't understand the terms "adventure" and "difficult".
The questioner has no idea of what the person who is answering considers the above terms to mean. And vice-versa.
These definitions are, indeed, subjective but I'm reasonably certain most know what they mean in their own minds.
Your post made me chuckle. For the life of me I cannot understand what about the title is critical. I simply feel these terms are overused and thus becoming less meaningful. I certainly did not infer anyone was stupid nor did I say people didnt understand the terms.
And you have made my point for me very well indeed...the IDEA of what is Adventurous or Difficult is indeed in each persons own mind...and therefore unless they share that with the questioner or the OP states it, the one cannot possibly know what the other thinks about those terms.
This was not meant to be a controversial post. When I read many of the questions and answers in R&R it occurred to me that some folks seemed to be talking at cross purposes. And it also occurred to me that the people engaging each other didn't really know how the other felt about driving, what a "good" road or a "bad" road was in the others mind. It was just a way to get folks to think about adding a bit of personal perspective when answering these important questions.
I regret you were so offended by that idea.
