Sounds great! I'm the avid rider, try to ride once a week, all singletrack. I'm comfortable on blue/red no problem. The wife and kids are more paved or fire road type riders. That's why I figured I'd get in a few solo rides. I only picked Moab because it's one of those famous places I always hear about, but I'm definitely interested in better/less known options, especially things I don't have here, like long downhill runs. I also like slow rocky/rooty tech sections. All suggestions welcome.
Would it be too far to drive out to Monument Valley for a day trip from Durango? I'd love to see that part of the desert also if possible. That's the problem, I want to see it all but I know I can't...
Is Durango my best bet for a place to stay, or should I look at Cortez area? I'm there for a week, so I want to be nearest the greatest number of things to enjoy, but still have the great scenery that I'm going for.
