H E R E are the RV parks/CG in the Durango area. Notice that there's not a whole lot of bad places to stay, which is somewhat unusual. Lots of good choices mentioned there, and you'll find anecdotal reports here as well. In and around Durango proper you'll find Lightner Creek, Alpen Rose, United CG, Durango KOA all highly rated (do a search here with any of those names and you'll get responses). In the area but further removed from Durango are Vallecito Resort and Bayfield Riverside RV Park, in addition to other locales they won't meet your requirements for FHU.
Whatever you choose, hope you'll have an enjoyable stay in Durango! One of the most beautiful areas of Colorado.
