"The best CGs are the provincial parks & Alaska state parks anyway. Neither of them have power. They give more of the Northern Experience being out away from civilisation so you are sitting at night watching your campfire not knowing if something is in the trees watching you & contemplating whats for dinner.

^^^^^ This. If the issue is power, internet, cell, etc, that can be pretty spotty throughout Alaska. If that is the most important aspect of the trip, there's some very spectacular scenery in the Mountain West and in BC where (I suspect) power, internet, etc is not as spotty as in Alaska.
