Alabama road conditions
Alabama roads are in very poor shape. On 4 lanes sometimes it is best to use the left lane rather than damage your rig.

My experience with AL roads is mostly good, with anything around Birmingham being the exception. In fact, I could make the same statement about everything in AL, not just the roads. BTW, I am not an AL resident, but I do own property in the state.
