Had to stay in a cg near Denali with a tour group. What a mob! Going with a tour , you are crammed in with no space to breath. Second trip I found a boondock spot on the Denali Hwy just out of Denali. Do not miss the Denali Hwy. 100 miles of dirt but worth it. I spent 3 days just crossing that 100 miles. Saw caribou, bears, moose, nesting loons and swans. Beautiful scenery. That is the solitude I was looking for.
