Last summer the Tok Cutoff road a some pretty serious construction area and also unusually severe frost heaves that weren't that bad when I was there in 2015. And a portion of the Sterling Highway was closed for a while due to dense smoke. Road conditions change year to year and, to be honest, the Alaska DOT isn't usually up to date. Your best bet is to ask fellow travelers. There are only so many roads in Alaska and you're bound to find someone who was recently driving where you will be. But rest assured your rig can make it and it's well worth the trip! :)
