Alaska Highway closed from the Yukon border to Coal River because of fires. Check road conditions before heading that way. (DriveBC)

I agree. Stayed there in 2005 when there were fires in Alaska. Was so smoke, I drove from there straight to Tok.
WOW. That's a long day/night's drive, especially on those roads.:E I guess once you're past Whitehorse, you might as well keep going, cause there's not much between there and Tok?
I've done some long days too, for a variety of reasons. Weather was bad in Homer, AK 2 years ago, and we decided home was going to be the next stop, so we drove from there to Beaver Creek, YT in one long day. :B
