Saw on the news, in some places, it looks like dusk at 10:00 in the morning. Depends on how long you plan on waiting before heading south. Maybe someone from BC can give you a sitrep?
We're leaving to cross into Canada tomorrow, I may fly back up here next year for the Northern Lights.
We had planned to head up there in about 10 days, but the fires have become cause for concern. Just watching the Weather Network, and not much has changed, still plenty of fires.
We did the 49th state 2 years ago, but missed the northern lights, mostly weather and time of year related. Maybe you'll have better luck in the Yukon on your way back?
