Alberta road
Is road 40 from Canmore Alberta south to Hwy 22 ok for a 35ft 5er? This would be for summera time Thanks

But to answer your question - yes. It is a great road, well maintained and fantastic scenery. It closes in the winter because of snow and animal use. There is one gas station part-way to Longview. This is definitely the way to go if you want to bypass Calgary.
We spend a lot of time out there in the summer and there are lots of really good campgrounds that way too.
If you want to look at the road, you can also go to Streetview on Google Earth and look at it.
