Albq to Deming down I-25 to I-10 Phx.
Oct 12.... Nov. 12th...4+ weeks Leaving Albq, down I-25 to Deming, How is route 26 ? or should I go on to Las Cruces, then going I-10 to Tombstone then to Phoenix. Have never been on this route......

Unless you have some other reason to go through Las Cruces, you should definitely use 26, its good road and saves lots of miles/time.
Albq to Tombstone is only about 6 hrs driving, so where to stop depends on how many hours you like to drive and what your interests are. Deming would seem to be a logical stopping point and there are things to do and see around Deming.
