Albuquerque to Carlsbad Caverns -Best Route for RV with tow

We are headed to Carlsbad Caverns tomorrow. We are about 45 miles south of Albuquerque now. We were originally planning on going around El Paso then north. Is there a better way that would work for...

Any of the routes others have provided will be fine assuming the recent snow has been cleared. Depending on where you are now, I would take the route thru San Antonio and stop for a burger at the Buckhorn or the Owl Cafe which is located about a block from the Buckhorn. Can't go wrong with either one for lunch. Enjoy the caverns.
