Most Ontario Provincial Parks are like that - take lots of cord. Also the water hookups are spaced throughout the campground. Often times, several campers will get together and join their hoses up so they can reach the water taps. This is probably illegal. We have also encountered water taps that are not threaded meaning an adapter is necessary to screw your hose on. Just be aware that this is how it is in our P.P. - oh yea, and pricey as well.
Despite the negatives, sites are usually large, fairly private and our parks have nice hiking and canoeing, etc.
