82 is a 2 lane state road with no shoulders. You can zoom in on the road on google maps earth view. No shoulders is tricky if you need to pull over for something. We have taken US90 from NO to I-10 and it is fine. Betty's is in Abbeville LA south of Lafayette. Never stayed there but looks like a neat place. Be sure to read the reviews on www.rvparkreviews.com - the campground itself didn't get good reviews. The owner and atmosphere is what makes it.
