Alternate routes to Mission Texas off of 10 East

I have used 83 all the way from I-10 and used 285 at Fort Stockton to 90 and 90 from Van Horn to 277 and taken that to 83. All of those are/were good roads and at RV speeds as fast or faster than staying on I-10 going further east to cut off.
