Amazon is opening service in Mexico.

I sounds like you have to pick up your packages yourself due to the lack of good mail service, but it's a start.

Amazon in Mexico

  • As I said, "it's a start". Amazon didn't deliver everyplace in the US when they first started. If you're in a resort or RV park in Mexico, you're most likely near a larger town like Mulege, La Paz, San Jose del Cabo, Todos Santos or on the other side by PV, Maz, Manzanillo, Lake Chapala, ?

I'm still digesting the 400% Chinese tax? If they're still the cheapest, have the best selection, and can get it to you in Mexico better than anyone else, then they could be charging a 1000% percent tax for all that it matters.

2 immediate doubts on my mind:

    1) "pick up in hundreds locations across the Mexico" might still mean hundreds miles to travel to such a location. Especially in places like Baja.

    2) Amazon is mostly Chinazon these days. I wonder what they are going to do with 400% tax on Chinese goods. Oh well, it's a lost war anyway...
