Is there another campground in/near Anchorage besides the Golden Nugget? We stayed there in '08 & have it listed as our worst. We are in Lake McLeese,BC in Kelly's Campground for 2 days of R&R after 4...

Everyone is mentioning RV Parks and you said campgrounds. There is "Bird Creek" Campground about 15 miles from Ancholage on the Seward Highway. Nice wooded setting right on the Cook Inlet. Just in case you were really wanting a campground.
