If you are asking about the Alces Lake campground in the East Kootenay's, it is a smaller campground. There should be several sites that will fit a trailer. There are also three other campgrounds in the same area. A couple of miles further will take you to Pack Rat Point on Whiteswan Lake, which also should have available sites. Continue along Whiteswan Lake and around the east end and you get to Home Basin which is the most scenic and busiest. The fourth is a few miles further past Whiteswan Lake and located on the White River. If you are coming in Sept. check closing dates on the B. C. Provincial Parks website. Alces and the White River campground may close after Labor Day Weekend, Sept. 5-7. The others may be open into Sept.
