If you have a 4wd wheels as part of your touring power, many more. Red Indian Lake and Grand Lake for 2 places can be circumnavigated by 2wd vehicles of several sizes. & east of Red Indian Lake one day I started down a side road, but came to a sign, "No gas for 65 kilometes". That's an indication of an industrial operation further down the road. Then there is the area west of Deer Lake, north and west of Corner Brook. It's a logging area, so keep your ears tuned for those big rigs heading out at 100 klicks and get over to the side. Yep there are roads in that territory so semis can pass each other going at highway speeds in opposite directions. Plenty of people have cabins in that area and fish the many waterways. Been there, enjoyed all that.
