anyone ever have an issue with not returning tourist cards?

We crossed back at Tecate this year which is not our normal crossing. We had our tourist cards in our passports and were intending to mail them in. However they are missing. I can only think the uS bo...

I've traveled in Mexico on and off since 1998 and I have never returned a tourist card, nor is there any clear opportunity to do so at the Laredo crossing. Vehicle permits, absolutely, tourist cards never.
