In most provinces your card is accepted and the province where you made claim gets the $ back from your home province.
If you were to move that would apply to all medical treatment that you received in your 1st 3 months, then your new health card for your new province of residence would cover you.
I've read many a time that there is an almost, but not quite 6 months option on health coverage if you go out of Canada.
